RipenessAI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) helps you determine the ripeness of fruits and vegetables from photos. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.
Purpose: To analyze the ripeness of a fruit or vegetable.
Processing: Images are processed either on-device or via secure servers to generate a ripeness result.
Retention: We do not keep your images longer than necessary to perform the analysis. Unless you explicitly choose to save results/history on your device, images are discarded after processing.
Examples: timestamps of scans, model version, app version, device model/OS version, basic performance/diagnostic signals (e.g., error codes or crash data).
Purpose: To ensure the app works reliably, prevent abuse (rate limits), and improve quality.
Note: When using online services, standard internet metadata (e.g., IP address) is transiently processed by network infrastructure to deliver the service.
Purchases are handled by Apple’s in-app purchase system. We do not receive your full payment information (e.g., card number). We may receive non-financial purchase metadata from Apple needed to unlock features (e.g., product ID, transaction status).
We do not use images or usage data to build advertising profiles. We do not use your images to train AI models without your explicit, opt-in consent.
RipenessAI contains no ads and integrates no advertising SDKs.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, error/crash reporting, or Apple for purchases). These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards and only for the purposes described in this policy.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data during transmission and processing. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, objection, or data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us (see Contact Us below). We may ask you to verify your request.
EEA/UK users: We process data as necessary to provide the service to you, to fulfill purchases, and for our legitimate interests (e.g., app reliability).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
RipenessAI can be used by children together with their parents or guardians. The app does not include advertising, does not require an account, and collects only the minimal information necessary for core functionality (such as processing fruit and vegetable photos for ripeness analysis).
We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children’s use of the app. We do not knowingly collect any personal information beyond what is required to provide the service. Images are used only for ripeness analysis and are not stored after processing unless saved locally on the device.
If we process data on servers outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards (such as contractual protections) to ensure your information remains protected.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of RipenessAI after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
